Based on their submitted abstracts, 8 young scientists had been invited to present their work in the Young Investigator Award (YIA) session. These 8 received  a 500 € travel grant.

The 3 best presentations of the YIA session were honored with the Hatabu-Gefter Prize:

Harikan Kooner (1st place, 500 €)

Dr. Ho-Fung Chan (2nd place, 300 €)

Sophia Pankoke (3rd place, 300 €).

The John B. West Award in recongnition of their lifetime contribution to the field of pulmonary functional imaging was presented to

Dr. Edwin JR van Beek, Professor of Radiology, and

Dr. Hans Ulrich Kauczor, Professor of Radiology
